  4. The impeachment clause includes the provision that the person impeached can be charged, tried, convicted, and sentenced. Meanwhile, McConnell deliberately chose to make Trump a private citizen so he could vote to acquit.

  5. The House impeached while Trump was in office. They were prepared to try him immediately. McConnell said, "Wait until he's out of office", then voted against conviction because it was after Trump was out of office. The idea that private citizens other than public officials could be impeached is NONSENSE. Belknap was BOTH impeached and tried AFTER he resigned.
