  1. It remains abnormal; stop calling it ANY kind of "normal". Trump is increasingly, publicly, disgracing himself. Deliberate public disgracefulness is not in any way "normal" -- or quasi-defended by attaching the word "normal" to it. The "Fourth Estate" -- the media -- exists to tell the truth, to be a check against gov't, the powerful, the overtly criminal. It is not exist to compromise or negotiate with it.

  2. When faced with political violence, one does not call for "counter" political violence because that makes the problem worse. But isn't that your actual intent? This is in the US Constitution: "Art. I., S. 8., C. 15. CONGRESS shall have Power To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute [ENFORCE] the Laws of the Union, SUPPRESS INSURRECTIONS, and repel Invasions." And in the First Amendment: "Congress shall make no law . . . abridging . . . the right of the people PEACEABLY to assemble". The Constitution ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITS political violence. Do you adhere to the Constitution -- the rule of law -- in fact or only in word? "Justice and the Rule of Law are to be ABOVE politics." -- John Adams.
