Comments by "J Nagarya" (@jnagarya519) on "‘Dark moment’: Toobin identifies one Trump tweet that raises his legal liability" video.
@gregoryeasterling6485 Toobin never finds fault with Republicans. As example: During the 2000 election battle he interviewed the lawyers for both Bushit and Gore. I was reading all the relevant Federal court decisions and Florida elections law at the same time. Bushit's lawyer made statements contrary to the law; Gore's lawyer quoted the actual law. Toobin let that stand -- the "Let the viewer decide" irresponsibility -- instead of reading the ACTUAL text of the law, oe running it on-screen so the viewer could compare it to the assertions made by the two lawyers. I call that "bad lawyering" -- and based on the usual Republican ignoring of this fundamental: "Justice and the Rule of Law are to be ABOVE politics." -- John Adams. Toobin is a TeeVee lawyer and apparently teaches at a law school, though a class on "TeeVee Lawyering: How to Barfgarble" [Scalia]" is a new one on me.

The word is "precedent," the plural form being "precedents".

A president has the "Constitutional authority" to "tell the vice-president what to do" -- even if his "order" to the VP is ILLEGAL, Toobin?

Toobin never fails to be a Republican apologist. He attempts to blame "bad lawyer" Eastman, and exculpate Trump for relying on his opinion. The PROBLEM for Toobin's BAD LAWYERING is that NUMEROUS LAWYERS TOLD TRUMP THAT EASTMAN WAS WRONG.

Well, you know, "bad lawyering" from a whole crew of right-wing Trumpeter lawyers, and anyway, blah, blah, blah something something "reasons". When did the Trump lawyer, or Pence, speak out publicly about what was happening when it most mattered? Exactly never. And Jason Miller gave it away that HE wrote the Tweet FOR Trump that said Pence agreed with Trump on overthrowing the gov't.

Pence didn't speak out earlier because he didn't know what to believe, which is why he was talking to all kinds of other people, but relied primarily on the advice of Dan Quayle. Definition of bullshit: Pence, who puts "God" above the Constitution and its separation of "religion" and gov't, is a Constitutional scholar. Pence needs to strap on his prosthetic spine and testify to the Committee.
