The "infighting" is between the media that is trying to create a controversy about a standard process, and the explanations by Committee members that there are "discussions" between the Committee and DOJ. Those "discussions" are about the evidence, which includes the staff pointing to evidence that the DOJ would need but doesn't know exists. At the same time the Committee is continuing to investigate, and organize evidence, for the hearings, which itself is a 24/7 workload.
