  3. There are rules of evidence that apply to court proceedings. By contrast, the Committee can rely on news reports -- which are not the hard evidence needed for legal proceedings. It amazes that law-illiterates pretend to know so much that isn't in fact known, all so they can jump on a passing bandwagon bearing the sign FOR WHINERS ONLY, because that's easier than actually thinking for oneself.
