How does one "steer" a round balloon without a rudder?

@mhall801 Right: release gas so the balloon falls into an undetermined wind direction. And if that doesn't work, pump gas in.

@mhall801 Yes, I know about winds aloft. And I recognize that a round object has no steering mechanism such as a rudder, so that it goes with the prevailing winds. It's old technology used in meteorology. It has yet to be confirmed that such an obvious object was used to "spy".

@mhall801 Yep: it spent time traversing part of Canada where there are NO US military installations. And did you NOT READ the video title? -- "US Navy releases new images of the recovery of SUSPECTED Chinese spy balloon" Did you MISS the video/s in which TRUMP BOASTED of his relationship to China and Xi. and talking about China having the biggest bank in the world, in which TRUMP has ACCOUNTS?

@mhall801 "And then where did it go, you didn’t even look did you?" Balloons are old technology typically used in meteorology and climate science. And apparently facts get in the way of your presumptive bigotry so you ignore them: "US Navy releases new images of the recovery of suspected Chinese spy balloon" Di you OVERLOOK the word SUSPECTED" -- or did you deliberately ignore it? "Stop making excuses for your demented hero." On what basis do you presume I have a "hero"? And who do you believe is my "hero"?

It has not yet been determined that it was a "spy" balloon. Would China give up spying equipment so easily?
