When you reduce facts to "your truth," you subvert fact by making everything subjective. Then you're in the vast ocean of "everything is opinion".

One must be careful that one's skepticism, and "questioning of everything," doesn't become rejectionism of facts and truth. That is, one must critically evaluate one's own thinking in relation to one's critical evaluation of "reality".

@thomascromwell6840 "Everything is subjective." Except that there is an objective reality outside you: try crossing a street through traffic while imagining the traffic doesn't exist; then explain how you "knowledge" that the traffic didn't exist didn't turn out to be true. Yes, the first question of philosophy, the mother of science, is what is, "What is reality?" It is not, "Why does reality not exist?" I don't use the phrase "my truth" -- I leave that to those who are so certain in their "relativity" that they can deny the existence of objective reality. In truth there are both objective reality and subjective interpretation. But those quasi-subjective "interpretations" can actually agree on provable objective realities. We have a Constitution -- we can agree on that. And there is consensus on what the legitimate scope of variable interpretation exists; thus we can determine false interpretations from legitimate. "Woke" is simply stubborn bigotry -- it is a summation of all the baseless right-wing "grievances" that are used as basis for -- at basest -- racism. All the baseless hatreds sum up in the oone stubbron stupidity: attacked INTELLIGENCE, REASON, and THOUGHT in defense of false traditions. You cranks used to call yourselves "dittoheads" -- you repeated the ideological claptrap of such as Rush Limbaugh, and name-called those who refused to refuse to think in lockstep with that stupidity "sheeple". You are the sheeple.

The bloodiest acreage on the plnet is in the Middle East, where three of the "great" "religions" originated, and engaged in mass murders against each other based on disagreement over who's speculation is the truth.

Fox "news" has lead the extremist right-wing in the push to reduce fact to "opinion". That is the war on truth. That is how to arrive at divide and conquer, at nihilism. "Everyone has the right to believe whatever they want" -- there is no objective reality, no facts.

Untruth: "The truth crushed to earth will rise again." Not everyone can overcome exclusion, or psychological injury.

Rudy Giuliani: "TRUTH ISN'T TRUTH!" Is that a truth?

@robertomondello2447 The question is whether you are qualified in terms of reason. Fox "news" will assert that gravity is only a "theory" -- thus casting doubt on "theory" in general -- because gravity can't be seen. More simply and directly: they will claim a fact is an "opinion," then elevate a falsehood to "opinion," then leave it to the viewer to choose which is "true". Stupid people will mistake that deceit as respect for their "intelligence" and thus adopt that which is an attack on fact, reason, and truth. Why not just accept the nonsense that the earth is flat; else you must prove to your satisfaction" the physics of "flat" and "round". Are you qualified in physics? Or how about the visible evidence? What you're saying is that you don't accept basic facts because you're "objective". No: your mind is so "open" that you your brains have fallen out.

@robertomondello2447 The questions remains: why do you believe you're qualified to judge science without actually understanding the scientific method?

The Puritans established a theocracy, a religiotyranny, but it was not a utopia for those who had the "wrong" "religion".

The Koch Foundation has worked for decades to undermine democracy.
