Second, it would take YEARS to build the factories -- so long, in fact, that Trump trumpeting building a factory that never got built because all it was about was a photo op. It was the Biden administration that finally built a Chips facility on the abandoned property. And reality is more complicated than your fantasy defenses of Trump's falsehoods about how tariffs ACTUALLY work: there are assemblies of parts in Mexico that are then shipped to the US for additional assembly, and then shipped back to Mexico for additional assembly. And there is also the issue of RETALIATORY tariffs -- which reduces DOMESTIC exports, which results in lost jobs and recession. BS yourself all you want; reality isn't fooled by your nonsense.
