The infrastructure bill specifically benefits the construction industry. Biden is outdoing Reagan by not only talking the talk. Reagan's appeal was to racism; Biden's appeal is to actual food on the table.

Lobbying is protected by the First Amendment provision "petition for redress of grievances". To cut the debt, eliminate the tax cuts and loopholes which benefit only those who don't need them.

@sndspderbytes We could reduce it by overturning Citizens United -- and that could be done by the co-EQUAL branch of gov't called CONGRESS. See Grove College : with it the Rehnquist Court limited the actual scope of the language -- the text -- of the application of anti-disability discrimination law. That decision and its progeny were overturned, and TEETH added to the law, by CONGRESS with the "Americans with Disabilities Act". Vote Biden, elect Democratic-control of both Senate and House.

@Winspur1982 And I note that in at least one instance the pharmaceutical manufacturer or one medication agreed to the reduction -- then withdrew the medication from the market. So they are in the business not of protecting health and saving lives but exclusively for profit. Which "fits": the US health care system is based on monetization of illness -- there's no profit in healthiness. Research the "Steward Health Care" Disaster.
