The fact that a few molecules per cubic meter of the Earth's atmosphere is blown to the Moon by solar wind means that the Moon's atmosphere is just like the Earth's. Either/or. Probably a result of watching too many sitcoms.

  44. The reflectors don't have to reflect all the light back, just enough to be detected.

  45. You need a reflector to get back a detectable signal if you don't have a very powerful laser, because the rough surface of the Moon scatters most of the light.
