My introduction to this illusion was the Ames room at the Exploratorium in SF many years ago. I've been fascinated by this illusion since then, and it was great to find this in-depth exploration of it. A good example of how people can look at the same data set and come to different conclusions is provided by the recent election. The data set is the number of electoral votes certified by each state in the US. The two different conclusions, which are wreaking havoc in American society, are a) There was massive voter fraud, voting machines were compromised by Hugo Chavez, and all the judges, including Trump-appointed ones, are part of a Democratic/deep state plot to remove God's choice from the presidency. Or b) Trump lost. Thanks, and a Happy New Year from Vienna, Scott

I guess one could be picky and point out that some planets are smaller that some moons, and some stars are smaller than some planets. But I won't. :)

Cool.

How cool is this.

The best short introduction to the Prisoner's Dilemma I've ever seen. Once you understand it, you see it everywhere.

What a great and instructive story.

Very cool. And a little scary.

I'd say that fatal flaw is a bit exaggerated. Math still is, after all, good for counting apples, or getting a space ship to Mars. Pretty good for something dead.

Brilliant from all involved. Kudos.
