  1. German is not all that hard to learn, especially if you're starting from English or another Germanic language.

  2. Valivali94 True, it's a pain to learn the articles.  But they are at least fairly predictable:  the Mädchen is neuter because she's "verniedlicht", made small and cute.  A boy can be neutered the same way: das Bübchen. But of course it's not usually done to boys. cheers from cool Vienna, Scott

  6. By the way- ember, "man" in Hungarian, and ember, "glowing coal" in English, are the longest nonrelated words with the same spelling in both languages. As far as I know.
