  4. How much of your research have you conducted outside? Have you built a sundial, for instance, or taken the altitude of Polaris from three different latitudes? Both are easy to do, and both show that the Earth cannot be flat.

  12. Gravity varies very little across the Earth's surface, and the acceleration differences are likewise very minor, only about 0.3% maximum differential. That's enough to make the Earth not a perfect sphere, but that's about it.
