  1. Obviously, climate change is complex. But anyone who goes outside regularly can see its effects. July 2023 was the hottest worldwide since the beginning of measurements. There are great financial motivations to deny anthropogenic climate change. Religion and not wanting to give up polluting comforts also play a role.

As I mentioned, there are great financial motivations to deny catastrophic climate change, and there are also great emotional reasons to deny it. Who wants bad things to happen? And who wants to admit that they are part of the problem? But the facts are not changed by our wants.
