  1.  @melchiorvonsternberg844  you can adapt very quickly : after 1 year in Djibouti (40° to 50°C all the time) , I was cold when returning to France, during the summer, and wore a wooly-pully , as it was 30°C !!!

  2. the mountains at the west of Poland stop cold air from russia (from east). That's why it's warm in Germany, while freezing in Poland. The sea brings even more warmth to the northern regions of Germany, because the gulfstream is not to far, in North sea, but is not in Baltic sea (Poland's north coast). Altitude in eastern Poland explains the -36° (white zone on the card). France has oceanic climate on 75 % of territory (western 3/4) and a kind of moderate continental climate in Alsace and Alps (- 10°C in winter, and lower sometimes).
