  1. It's surprising that US people don't know these old blinds (invented in 1854) !! So simple and safe : against robbers, storms, hail, and tornadoes ! That's not recent and nearly all houses have that since decades, in all europe ! So I wonder what modern things US have that europe doesn't have ? NONE ! With the high crime rate and frequent tornadoes they have, they should all have this ! It seems to be the opposite : US are very late, for so many simple things of everyday life ! Their doors, windows, and entire houses are not very solid, not practical, and not safe : so it's no surprise they get robbed so often, or destroyed by an average windstorm...
