the basic (important) things were invented by the romans (roads, bridges, aquaducts, sewage, therms, canals, urinals, etc.....).

apples originate from Kazakhstan.

@andishawjfac english think Eire is a part of UK ! LOL ! The past is past... in the same way, france could claim that england is a part of france, because it was french, and spoke french, from 1066 to 1362 ! no french would dare claim that, though it's a historical fact... only english dare claim that kind of things : they live in the past.

mayas used to DRINK ground cocoa, with water and red chili powder, already in the 4th century AD.

@johnd8892 cugnot's car had a steam engine. (1769). Yes, france also invented a lot of important things (just check french nobel prizes list). Please, england, don't make the same mistake as USA : to believe that you invented everything ! (now we can see whom US got their arrogance from...) (no fake historical facts, please : this is trump's job ! )

some annoyed neighbours don't thank A. Sachs ! 😂

same thing with Eiffel, whose tower was actually designed by the engineer Koechlin (nobody heard about him !!).
2

👍👍👍 i would say "ultra-chauvinism", or "congenital arrogance". (typical for island/"separatist" people).

trepanations scars were found on a cro-magnon man's skull, in france (dating from 20.000 yrs !) scars prove that he survived the operation : quite amazing, for this era ! (without antisceptics !) Ambroise Paré is just another "edison" ! LOL !
2
@heatherhoward2513 and many antique egyptian artefacts...
2
@Shoomer88 inspired by an austrian actress, fond of sciences, Hedi Lamarr, who invented wifi and radar, in 1941. US rejected her, because she was a woman, but finally stole her invention, and never admitted it was hers. The edison tradition (of stealing inventions) was perpetuated...as usual.
2
is it so hard to notice the obvious relation between "hamburg" and "hamburger" ?!
2
musk even stole Tesla's name (the 2nd one was a genius, the 1st one is a fascist psycho).
2
