Thank you for this revisit - privilege to hear it directly from you!

Excellent CTC!

Has BJP got the guts to give it to the CBI and ensure a deep and unbiased investigation?
5
When a person headlines their introduction as "Maharaj is Maharaj" , one a priori finds their opinion colored & suspect.
5
Author's criticism of Mr Tharoor is somewhat valid but one thinks of Mr Tharoor as a Big Picture man - And the Big Picture is that the Indians got Royally Screwed (pun intended) by EIC/British on most HDI & Economic Growth parameters for more than 200 years. He is dead wrong about Dalrymple. Will buy the book nonetheless as a counterpoint addition to one's personal library.

Fantastic human being!
5
Poor Sidhu, it seems "na maya milegi, na ram" ...
5
Brilliant program. This book should be promoted more...
5
@PRINT I think I was close to catching CTC live.... I can never figure out when it is streamed every day..
5
Kunal Kamra is a clown... no point giving him so much importance.
5
Fantastic ground reporting! Love it.
5
Loves the way PM Modi focuses on development, equity, anti-corruption! Mamata must be removed. Period.
5
What about the murder cases, the people he gunned down - what about that case!
5
Behenji, of course, inaugurated fully completed projects only. Her statues are a great example - Never inaugurated a "half-finished" one - Never!
5
@PRINT "Liked" the video the moment heard that SG will relate what he considers a juicy story :)
5
Not Tigress, it's a wily vixen.
5
Very informative CTC
5
Exactly!
5
Brilliant historical summary!
5
Brilliant! Next drone show will be even better, one is sure!
5
Sir Humphrey, you are one of my all time fav characters, especially played by Nigel Hawthorne on TV :)
5
@PRINT Excellent book to review! Looking forward to read it.
5
Yup, we support sovereignty & territorial integrity of Canada (...Quebec's too)
5
@PRINT Excellent! Mr. Tellis takes a few "courageous" positions though...
5
@PRINT Someone in the comments section very insightfully has asked why today's NI is even a topic. In one's view, this signals a deeply embedded idea within some 'opinion-makers' that India is meant to be ruled by a certain set of "Chosen Ones" or "Usual Suspects" (as you please) only... -- this notion is worth examining.
5
Isn't it the responsibility of state govts to issue death certificates? So they should ask the state govts and/or the local police... latter one understands is also a state subject. Why should the Central govt have this statistic?
5
Interesting discussion.

What is Hindutva politics? People who try to differentiate between Hindu & Hindutva don't really understand the languages (Sanskrit, Hindi & dialects) from where these terms originate, in the etymological sense and how common folks understand the terms ... Even the ever-bumbling sibling duo are trying to market the differentiation --> Only a fool will try to attempt this...

I love animals and have had cats, dogs, parrots, rabbits since childhood but we really do need some rules around pets and strays... It is the absence of rules and guidelines that will cause phobias like dog-phobia, stray cruelty etc. I am glad at least the 2022 brouhaha has gotten a conversation started...

2 UP ke ladke bicycle par nikale the, ab sirf lad rahen hain...

and @SG It is pretty much correct that you are the Doyen of Indian Journalism , if one looks all Journalist's actively & directly present in all media (Min 25 Yrs experience). Of course, if it were not objectively true, one wouldn't watch so many Print videos everyday and most importantly engage too :-)
5
Thank you, Russia! Our all-weather friend.
5
Bottomline is that Both the bills were good for India.
5
Hmm... isn't it true that early "Hindu" (quotes used advisedly) were largely in the variety of pagan traditions. Should we be really surprised?
5
Excellent CTC today! ... Surpasses all expectations. Brilliantly argued and discussed!
5
There is something known as civilizational memory (some researchers argue that this gets encoded in the genetic memory of populations). Anglophile ideas of a pretend "statesman" of mid-twentieth century, are exactly that, Anglophilic ideas of a western, anglo-saxon ethos that are a source of dissonance --> the narrative is fundamentally misaligned with the civilizational memory of the population. Transplanting them without contextualizing them alienates the majority. BJP does the right-contextualization way more successfully than the patently "superiority-complexed" INC (surprise, surprise), INC taking cues from their latest Gods from the Family and their Oxbridge advisors. This is why, fundamentally, INC will be extinguished in the long run. Nuff said.

Does DAG sell prints of the paintings? Anyone know?

One is positive that the book will be a fascinating insight into the Scholar's slice of life in the 60s. Will pick it up!
4
@PRINT You missed out the one where "the murder" was done prevent the late actor from exposing a high profile pedophile ring in Mumbai... Point is that everyone loves a Pelican Brief story. This and sometimes Truth can be stranger than Fiction .
4
@PRINT Thanks for the interview! Dr Fyzie's clarity of thought on this whole subject is fantastic.
4
Naughty Raut strikes again!
4
@wokeymcwokeface1974 Why harsh... it makes sense.
4
@wokeymcwokeface1974 Exactly my point.
4
Remember to not take all to heart when you read Nietzsche.
4
Even more Naughty Raut!
4
@PRINT Thanks for the video. Though it wasn't MAYDAY*3, publicly it was more like PAN PAN...
4
@PRINT Great review! Interestingly in Health and Survival China is a rank lower. One strongly thinks these rankings reflect societal mores and ills rather than governance. We need Social Reform leaders of stature of Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Couple Phule, Kamini Roy, Sarala Devi to drive the change... Today's feminist leaders are more focused on Politics than focusing on the Social. This is the core issue.

@SBH3356 @Swati Bhatt The faculty member was Indian in origin too.. From the PRINT article on www.theprint.in --> _"However, some of her old social media posts, from 2017, emerged and were characterised as ‘racist’, ‘anti-semitic’ and ‘transphobic’. In one such post, she had captioned a photo from Malaysia, “Ching Chang”. In another photo, she could be seen posing outside a Berlin Holocaust Memorial and the accompanying caption read: “The memorial CASTS a HOLLOW dream of the past atrocities and deeds”._

Thank you for this episode! One failed the Kiphire Test (it should be the NE Knowledge gold standard test) but this really is a very good report. It paints a much better big picture mind-map of the NE than anything one has read or seen before.
4
Brilliant! Love to see and hear about things from Kashmir that are beyond guns/grenades, saffron, gushtaba and pashmina.
