Comments by "" (@mailtorajrao) on "Why ex-Israeli PM Netanyahu signed off on Pegasus spyware sale to PM Modi u0026 hypocrisy of nations" video.
Reading some comments, here's one's take --> If some columnist think their columns/videos influence votes then they don't understand the demographics of their readers/viewers. This way or that way, there are no fence sitters who are making up their minds watching these videos (certainly not PRINT , Wire or Scroll viewers). Make sure you vote & just you will nullify all of, for e.g., Ms Malhotra's efforts...😉

It is naïve and even foolish to think that a country with India's security problems should not have advanced cyber-weapons as Pegasus. By the by, one will be quite surprised that Pegasus is the most advanced cyber-weapon in India's arsenal... We probably have better.

@CountingStars333 Of course misuse is the allegation (true or otherwise).. Point one was making is that painting Pegasus as the devil is incorrect framing of the issue. ...Rafales can be used to obliterate 10 Janpath - does not mean India shouldn't have Rafales.

On a side note, we willingly give up so much data about ourselves to the govt., corporations & internet companies... we should understand and accept that Privacy today is an illusion. Information about ourselves is as secret and private as any committed actor's lack of interest in us. This is not an argument justifying any individual case of breach of privacy but to say that in today's world, not having an extremely diminished expectation of Privacy is just fooling ourselves in the worst possible manner of the ostrich.

@PK-tt5kk Sure, it could be true but that is unsurprising & somewhat uninteresting. India is progressing on many fronts - we have moved from IB files, HUMINT to include deploying cyber-assets in this evolving tech-landscape for doing what has always been done as a matter of course since ever.
