  1. Fully agree. No real argument has come forth.. it is a pretty small infrastructure project in the larger scheme of things. Basically Sonia Gandhi is super worried about her stupid kids and her husband's family legacy... Note that BJD, YSRCP, TRS. AAP and many other did not join this.

Some of the comments here are either strictly emotive responses or made merely for the sake making a point against the present dispensation... 1) Money is not the issue why we have a vaccine shortage, 2) Central vista is a small project in overall context of numerous ongoing infra projects, 3) It is generating much needed employment (however small), 4) Not taking any top leadership attention (the Cabinet is not spending time on this now, is it?). The project must continue - don't distract by asking for stupid symbolic gestures and let the govt focus on dealing with COVID.

  4. ​ @achalshah4510  Your house is neither here or there in the scheme of things. Central vista project is a national treasure. Modis will come and go, just like the British did with the Gateway of India. Central Vista project is an icon for posterity and in a sense will also commemorate the COVID tragedy and its impact and lessons for Indian posterity.... do you now get my jinx coz you sure didn't get before.

  5. India's current opposition parties are berozgaar and want India to remain berozgaar ... Central Vista project generates employment and likely not taking any top leaders' attention. Why should it be stopped?

  6.  @achalshah4510  Don't build a shopping mall, wrong timing. If you have it then get into the import of O2 and necessary medicines -- sell at fair price make your profit and help the country at the same time. Engaging with hypothetical arguments at this time is a waste of your time.
