@PRINT With elementary math, If India's Ro is 1.7, and let's say each person can achieve Ro target in 1 day (1 infected person will infect 1.7 people in 1 day; not unreasonable), then, if I start Today as Day 1 with only 1 single person infected in India, then by Day 41, ALL 1.35 billion will be infected! (actually the number is 1.6 Billion infections).... You see the problem? The key is to get Ro < 1 to decelerate the spread to 0 (cure or death) and while weather etc (and later vaccines) will help, IDENTIFY & ISOLATE is the only way out! ....
