  1. IITK Rocks! DRDO has also funded countless projects in IITK's aero & o/ depts including biochem since long past. Also, it is not only that IITK has an airstrip but also has the crucial massive wind tunnels for testing..

  2. @PRINT See, the problem why nobody is funding them is their selection of the imaging system... At 40K ft, taking low res images to accurately detect and recognize objects/terrain etc is not going to work. It is going to be GIGO... no amount of AI/ML can enhance a poor image for practical precision targeting or detection (though the General is spot on about aggressively seed funding ideas at top edu instis)
