  1. The SCI reasoning really takes the cake. Anycase, It is reasonable to venture that this xenophobia is a hangover of historical invasions, colonization (& assimilation?) that have happened in India. Also, the increasing sense then one gets is that RSS has this idealistic vision of self sufficient = strong India, a revert to very past glories. To do this in time frames of say, a century or 2, a reverse of India's colonization/loot is probably needed - India colonizes someone else and sucks it dry, albeit in a sustainable manner, keeping the targets at necessary subsistence levels. Else one will have to accept that we play globally now and jettison 100% self sufficiency dreams. Of course, inventing a true perpetual machine can also help.
