12:23 Both the helicopter pilot and rescued man are so humble. The pilot even takes responsibility for a mistake he didn't actually make.

Kind of sucks that they talk about how they found her. It makes it harder for the next girl.

@theParticleGod well... Considering that 48 hours later "untrained" pilots were asked (by powers above the ast fire chief and his city official girlfriend) to please go to the area and help, the paperwork was going to be the same. Efficiency isn't a problem that a little bureaucracy can't fix.

8:02 "assistant fire chief", bully, and bureaucratic powertripper Chris Melton, doing a great job of endangering lives during an emergency. If this podunk ego tripping idiot isn't fired, any decent fire fighter needs to turn their back to him when he enters a room. 8:10 Olivia Stewman, Lake Lure city official impersonating an FAA official 12:23 helicopter pilot and rescued man (who was dragged across the river after Melton threatened the pilot) are both so humble and the pilot even accepting responsibility and apologizing for a mistake he didn't actually make

Blame the lawyers who post the inciting billboard ads for easy, big money if you get hit by a truck (read "cause a truck to hit you"). Blane juries who award ridiculous sums not realizing that they aren't "punishing" a company, but punishing everyone in every part of the economy as the entire economy has to bear increasing shipping costs as insurance premiums rise to cover the ridiculous judgments. Then, for the suicidal people actively trying to get hit, there's virtually no punishment even if they get caught.

I didn't say that it sucks that she was found. I said it sucks that they talk about HOW she was found. It's great that this girl was found. Them talking about HOW she was found DOES make it harder for the next girl that's kidnapped, somewhere (and, unfortunately, there will be a next girl and a different nut job). I didn't say that it sucks that she

@Mary Bean - the guy they caught didn't know. The Amazon killer didn't know. The less it's talked about the better chance the next victim has.

In psychology, it's called "projection". She's attributing her own normalacy onto a friggin hero with actual training and expertise.

"Fail up" Terrible when someone puts their power trip over a person's safety, especially when it's a public safety official
