  2. If the plane was carrying people, they would've shown bodies. Plus, Russia said that no bodies were shown because they burned up completely. It doesn't work that way,unless you had something in the wreck to burn hot enough, long enough to cremate the bodies. So, either there were POWs and missiles or no POWs.

  3. I get what you're saying. I just wanted to correct 1 thing. Losing Bakhmut would be a strategic victory but a tactical defeat. The city holds no strategic value. The value has been in Ukraine being able to cause casualties to Russia as Russians move towards the town (as opposed to if Russia just sat in their trenches and made Ukraine attack them).

  5.  @jessehachey2732  - You misread my comment. Ukraine, including Crimea and the Donbas regions voted for independence FROM RUSSIA, in 1992, and that was recognized by the international community, no gunpoint involved.

  6. Fun facts, in 1992, both Crimea and the eastern regions of the Donbas (Donetsk and Luhansk) voted overwhelmingly for independence from Russia when the Soviet Union fell.

  8. 11:52 the issues between Zalensky and Zaluzhny aren't new and they aren't from the West or from Russia. You can look into it. However, the opposition party in Ukraine has been happy to to take advantage of the situation for their own gains and they may have been motivated or encouraged by people in Western governments or Russia. However, since those two options are complete opposite, it's more likely that their greed and thirst for power are plenty of motivation. Unfortunately, Zaluzhny is either complicit in the almost treasonous machinations of the opposition party or he's happy to be a pawn in their game. Zalensky has been removing officers close to or affiliated with Zaluzhny in order to prevent the very real possibility that the opposition party might try to enact a coup to overthrow Zalensky and, worse, use "democracy" as their scapegoat reason. Of course even a coup attempt would demolish world support for Ukraine and play in Russia's favor.

  10. Also the Russians in Ukraine have lost their heritage. I have a friend who referred to herself as "Russian" until February 2022. She fled Donetsk during the 2014 Russian invasion of Ukraine to a town farther west but still in Ukraine. She was explaining how she feels horrible for just being Russian because of what the Russian barbarians have done. She explained that while she still has her country, she's lost her heritage and language. (Russian is a very different language from Ukrainian, despite a similar alphabet. I speak some Russian and can't understand a word of Ukrainian. Even simple things like "thank you" and "goodnight" are totally different. I point this out because many pro Russian people still say Ukrainian isn't a real language and that Ukrainians are really just Russian and belong with Russia. Nonsense.) So, Russians who aren't barbarians and have fled Russia might have lost their home, Russians in Ukraine have lost their heritage, family history, and language.

EVERY Oblast in Ukraine, in Luhansk, Donetsk, and Crimea voted for independence from Russia when the Soviet Union collapsed. Ukraine wasn't being considered for NATO membership. After the fall of the Soviet Union, Georgia and Ukraine were not not considered for NATO membership and merely left with the promise of "maybe someday" as an appeasement to Russia. Those are the 2 countries Russia has invaded in Putin's efforts to rebuild the Russian Empire. This fact, Putin's unprovoked aggression leads to the next point. NATO didn't expand east. Former Soviet states fled west, voluntarily, to the protection of NATO for the exact reasons we saw in Georgia and Ukraine, Putin's unprovoked land grabs of sovereign but weaker and non nuclear neighbors. Also, culturally and linguistically, less than half of Ukraine is Russian by both population or area. Even Kherson and Zaporizhia, claimed by but not occupied by Russia, are predominantly Ukrainian in language and culture.

  17. Ukraine's offensive will be from Zaporizhia to Melitopal and intended to drive a wedge in the Russian lines and isolate the Crimea defenders and troops that withdrew from Kherson. That is the terrain most favorable for fast, mechanized assault that will make the best use of the Bradley and Warrior IFVs and various tanks that Ukraine will have available when the mud season ends. Russia doesn't have troops covering every square kilometer of that territory and they don't have defenses in depth.

  19. It's great that Orban wasn't able to extort the EU for anything else other than staying in the EU and keeping their vote. Orban has been trying to play both ends, taking money from Russian intermediaries and trying to get more money for Hungary (which he could then siphon some off through graft). Hungary is the most corrupt country in the EU. So, Orban was credible when he criticized Ukraine for being "too corrupt to join the EU". It takes one to know one. And, EVERY former Soviet or Warsaw Pact country was too corrupt for the EU before reforming to join the EU.

Ukraine is fighting for its sovereignty and independence from Russia and to expel the invading Russian troops from Ukraine. I'm all for peace talks. Everyone, except lunatics wants peace. We want peace after Russia recalls its military and political forces back to Russia. Anyone who thinks peace talks NOW, with Russian troops inside Ukraine, ought to have a vagrant move into their home and then agree that the vagrant can stay as long as its only the living room and the vagrant doesn't attack the other residents of the home. None of the people calling for peace talks would even consider the above deal. They would call the police and demand the trespassing vagrant be removed, by force if necessary.
