21:00 humans could survive the round-trip through the Van Allen belts...the photographic film (pictures and video media), not so much. Whatever WAS recorded on the moon, the film would be mostly splotched white. Somebody could probably do a likely simulation of the effect of sending photographic film through the belts. The 1960s tech on the early vehicles wouldn't be affected much by radiation. Other vehicles have left LEO and remained functional. In the 1950s and 1960s, we were nuking our own soldiers and sailors.
