  3. Well, Putin's goal was (is) retaking all of the former Soviet countries. When the world, especially Bronco Bama who was focused on the fabled "Russian Reset", did virtually nothing, that encouraged Putin. The slow walking of aid to Ukraine has done the same thing, even as Russia is imploding. Putin, Russian leadership, , only understand force and strength. Self deterrence and appeasement attempts only makes them feel like they have the upper hand.
