As itchy a trigger finger and long memory as Poland has, I wouldn't be surprised if Poland attacked Belarus if Belarus sends troops into Ukraine. Regardless, if Belarus sends troops into Ukraine, Lukashenko is done for.

Ukraine is basically a no-fly zone for aircraft from both sides, probably slightly leaning more against Russia now that HARM is a constant threat to Russia anti aircraft radar. Perun channel did a thing about the air situation in Ukraine. Both sides are fielding insane amounts of AA systems with deep ammunition stockpiles. Helicopters aren't going to fly high enough to avoid manpad SAMS and are visible to radar if they get above surface detection altitude. It's why most aircraft vids show everything, jets or helos at VERY low altitude and fast. Unfortunately, helicopters are slower and give someone with a shoulder fired SAM more time to react and get a shot off than a jet would. Of course, jet losses have also been high.

@judgegrinch1139 - Emergency turret ejection system. Working as intended.

You're thinking averages under ideal conditions and in peacetime. Ukraine will run it until it breaks and then ship it back to Poland for repair if it's something that can't be done in the field. Nobody is spending 10 hours tinkering on a tank that expects to survive about that long, if it's lucky.

Air superiority isn't possible for either side. Russia has more aircraft but cannot use them for the same reason Ukraine can't use its more limited number of aircraft. That reason is intense anti aircraft coverage across all altitudes for both sides. If you think tanks aren't useful, let me tie your hands behind your back and punch you in the face. No, hear me out. I'll let you punch me back! Well, if you can figure out how to untie your hands. A tank is totally useless on the modern battlefield...Unless your enemy has tanks.

@lubomirdoukov6975 - if Ukraine wasn't swimming in Soviet era SAM system stockpiles or if Russia was using cruise missiles to destroy them instead of civilian housing blocks, Russia definitely would have air superiority. As it is, Ukraine is pretty much a no fly zone for both sides near the frontline because of dense AA coverage.

It's not so much a matter of it being secret. It's a matter of not wanting to give it to Russia when some are inevitably captured.

US doesn't want the depleted uranium armored tanks going. That's why the Ukrainian tanks are new build. Although, it makes me wonder why they don't just replace the turrets. That should solve any armor and electronics issues.

@guntotingleftist8004 - those may be their goals? Putin has already done more than any other Russian leader to unify and strengthen NATO and the EU. Very odd goals for a Russia that is supposedly trying to strengthen its own position relatively.

@Imunknown7848 - Ukraine really is fighting to prevent WWIII and direct engagement between NATO and Russia. If Russia isn't completely thrown out of Ukraine, they will take that as a green light to try again AND as a green light to continue their plan of subjugating other former Soviet states that are now NATO members.
