  1. Kinda sounds like 2008. These are called economic cycles. After nearly 20 years of economic strong growth around the world, we were already due for a correction, or recession. Then, Putler deciding to start a European war just exacerbated and accelerated the economic correction. The lesson is that people need to prepare for these cycles during the good times. Regardless of who is in government, it's guaranteed that there will be another strong growth period followed by another recession. Also, telling people to go buy a week or 3 worth of some items when the stores and warehouses only hold a few days worth is good way to cause unnecessary panic and buying. Here in the US, during Covid, we had people buying a year supply of toilet paper and other nonsense.
