  1. We actually did this to ourselves in the Afghanistan war. Taliban would hide in Pakistan and we wouldn't attack them there unless they were actively shooting at us from inside Pakistan.

  2. ​ @Bob94390 part of the problem is that we have to use words that will prevent the youtube thought police from removing the comment. The OP is using "lost" on place of a word that might offend an algorithm designed by people who grew up with padded playgrounds, trigger warnings, and safe spaces. Regardless, well over 64k Russians have been permanently removed. Because Russia doesn't dedicate any resources to CASEVAC, the morality rate vs injury rate is very high for a "modern" battlefield.

  3. ​ @fontzmark  Nobody was building military bases in Ukraine, except Ukraine. It was Russian aggression and oppression that caused former Soviet states to flee to NATO looking for protection from Russia. It was Russian aggression that caused Finland and Sweden to seek NATO protection after decades of staunch neutrality.
