  4. I think you're reading too much into it. Trump and Vance were already talking to Zalensky like he was a child instead of the wartime head of state that he is. Trump was upset that someone had the nerve to talk back to him...especially at home....especially after Macron just did the same thing. Trump is a narcissist and prima donna and Zalensky didn't just roll over and take it. That was what set Trump off, not what Zalensky said.

  5. @Jasper118  If you want to talk about disrespectful, you need to start with Trump and Vance. Trump sent an underling to Ukraine to offer the initial, ridiculous, deal while Trump was personally talking to Putin and trash talking Zalensky, calling him a dictator (Putin is an example of an actual dictator) and blaming Ukraine for getting invaded by Russia.

  7.  @tomsmith5488  I suspect that after Trump called Putin directly while sending an underling to offer a ridiculous deal to Zalensky and then calling Zalensky a dictator (without also calling Putin, an actual dictator, the same), Zalensky knew that Trump couldn't be trusted or taken at face value. The meme about 1 man without a suite and 2 suits without men is very apt, regarding the White House meeting.

  10. Well, Vermont's state motto is "Freedom and Unity", created in 1788, not long after our own fight for Independence from a stronger oppressor. Vance and Trump aren't interested in promoting freedom and democracy anywhere, even the United States and Trump's dictionary is missing the word "unity" entirely
