  1. Prof, you glossed over the violation of the US Constitution by Trump. By stopping aid that Congress authorized, Trump is playing king. The Separation of Powers laid out in the Constitution has Congress controlling what money is spent on. Those spending bills are LAWS enacted by the Congressional branch. The Executive branch cannot disregard those laws, except by a presidential veto of the legislation BEFORE its signed into law. Since the president, Biden, already signed the legislation into law, Trump cannot legally amend, stop, discontinue, etc the aid laid out in that LAW. We are having a Constitutional crisis in the United States. Trump, the Executive branch, has disregarded legislation passed by the Congressional branch of our government. A further complication is that Trump has also seated a majority of the Supreme Court, the Judicial branch of government (through a failure of both the Congressional branch in approving the candidates and prior justices holding on to their seat until Death's icy grip pulled them from this existence instead of abdicating their seat to allow a reasonable balance to the Judicial branch's Supreme Court.
