  1. Ironically, THIS is the thing that set Putin on his evil villain story arc. In the lead up to Iraq 2, the hunt for dubya emdee, Putin advised Dubya not to invade Iraq, a Russian weapons customer and a nation that Putin felt was within Russia's already diminished post-Soviet sphere of influence. Dubya completely ignored Putin...or Cheney completely ignored Putin and had his hand up Dubya's behind working him like a puppet (neither confirmed nor denied). Regardless, just as with the average American, even the American president wasn't thinking about or concerned with Russia while invading a nation Russia felt was a vassel. Putin then began his quest to "make Russia great again."

  2. Russia is the child who gets no attention and acts out because that rewards them with attention. It's negative attention but they prefer it over being ignored. The actual fact is that the West doesn't even think about Russia unless it's making news for misbehaving. Every bully is outraged when a victim defends themselves.
