@TheKingPhisher - every recharge also reduces maximum charge capacity. The more you drive an EV, the worse the longevity. A battery pack costs more than a normal car's engine. Many Teslas go through at least 2 battery packs before they're out of warranty.

EV been taking off since 1996...or something.

@Space_Debris - if the engine and its internal components are designed to handle the extra air pressure, the engine isn't going to suffer a shortened lifespan.

If gas cars are banned, how long until we use up all the rare earth minerals used to make batteries and then...hace to switch back to gas or diesel?

A 25 year old Nissan i6 runs with GTR's v6, except it's smoother and sounds sooo much better.

2018 was when I started seeing the warranty and buyback horror story vids on mustangs. Those were because of stuff breaking, though. Interesting. Ironically, my car makes slightly more power than the GT and I'd prefer those higher speeds though 5 gears. I often skip from 1st to 3rd or 4th or start in 2nd. At the power level of these cars, the shorter gears are too short result in "busy work" shifting if you aren't skipping gears in normal driving. The earlier cars' gearing is better for the track, but veeeery few owners will track their car often enough to benefit from the shorter gears. How much the car "pushes you back" only matters until you (quickly) become accustomed to it. Then, even if you feel the push, the car feels "slower", because you got used to it. Ford probably left the auto with "fun" ratios because the auto won't ride the recline or screw up a downshift. I disagree with your conclusions about what's practical for daily driving, but this is a great, in depth look into the gearing!

@davemartin9912 - the proof is in the pudding. We'll see how long those million mile battery packs last. Tesla is already having to fight for supply as cash solvent automakers seek to cut deals with Tesla's primary supplier. Incidentally, the same batteries are in Tesla battery packs are what my flashlights use. Runtimes aren't always up to "advertised maximum". Of course, those figures are under ideal conditions, which the real world often doesn't provide.

1:46 don't get upset about "freedom units" of measure, lest you want freedom forced down your throat. We haven't invaded anyone in a while.
