It took them 2000 years but they got their land back from the foreign occupiers who fancy themselves as "natives" just because they stayed in a land whose true owner (and true native) got expelled hundreds of years ago by someone else..

I mean ffs, Turkey was one of the few countries who didn't fought against Nazis and Fascists during WW2 and they were ready to jump in with whichever side won the war..
