@christianweibrecht6555 Like any person would do.. Especially after decades of socialism.. It fucking destroyed my fellow countrymens' brains.. 9 out of 10 people aspire to get a good position in the public sector.. Why? Easy work, no "evil" boss above your head, good money, plenty of leaves and most importantly you never lose your job so you essentially secured your future..! However, all these wages are paid by tax money so it's 100% logical that not all can work in that damn public sector.. I persue a career in the private sector and I ignore false governmental promises about more hirings in the public sector for that exact reason.. Too bad the majority of my countrymen do not do the same.. It would solve tons of problems!

@Петър денов Keep the CIA conspiracy theories to yourself.. What happened, is that as soon as the problems started socialism got dismantled.. Also, Greece was destroyed economically and morally by socialism since the "Panhellenic Socialist Party" (PASOK) was the government of Greece for decades.. The only thing that has changed since then, is the fact that the same idiots/traitors are voting now for SYRIZA instead of PASOK....

@bust23able This is partially the reason.. Buzantine Empire had nothing to do with West Europe.. The reasons are many.. But make no mistake the rise of Islam was the main catalyst that ruined the Byzantine Empire..

@VaasMontenegro12 Then what is PASOK? This "S" in the name.. You know what it stands for, right? Not to mention SYRIZA is just a neo-PASOK with just a different name..! But fuck all that.. I do not care if you perceive PASOK and SYRIZA as socialist or not! For me it all started with Andreas Papandreou and how he made greek people believe that somehow money will always start raining out of nowhere..! No, if you want more public benefits and more jobs on the public sector the money will come out of taxpayers' pockets.. The sooner greek people realize that the better.. For the socialist "heaven" to work without high taxes you need to find the money from somewhere else.. Andreas Papandreou started borrowing money like crazy to support the reckless way he was governing, and somehow he went down as the most beloved politician, because common people just do not know any better and at the end of the day they just care for their pockets and nothing else..

@VaasMontenegro12 I disagree about how rich people should be "targeted" they already pay more taxes in Greece than most of middle class citizens.. Ok it might be because I have an awesome boss who pays me good, but I know for fact that if governement overdo it with taxing rich people, bosses like mine will not be able to provide good wages to their enployees any more.. Also, rich people have more ways to avoid taxation than middle to low class citizens.. So, I would avoid pushing them too much if I had a say about it.. They could just send their money to an off-shore.. And if they they have ships? All the better, just change the flag of the ship to that of a country with lower taxes.. The above are only a few examples which are not greek-exclusive phenomenons mind you.. You simply cannot force rich people to pay more taxes than they want to.. Last but nor least, take into consideration how money works.. Money=capitalism, since you use it you live in a capitalistic system either you like it or not.. And the most intriguing part? If we all had enough money to pay all our debts, money would all lose all its value.. You simply need some people on top of others (resembling a pyramid) for money to work.. So next time time you want to fight rich people, take some time to find a system to replace capitalism and money altogether.. Because as long as you use money, there will be rich and poor people, this is an unavoidable truth we all need to come in terms with..

@VaasMontenegro12 And yeah if you have money as a government, more benefits and public programs are a good thing you could do with them.. However, this money needs to come from somewhere, and overtaxing to get that money, is never a good idea..

@VaasMontenegro12 You fail to grasp the huge cultural differences between Nordic and Greek people.. Most Greek people I know (including myelf) would kill themselves if they were forced to live in any of those "Nordic paradises".. So no, what works in Nordic countries is no proof that it will work in Greece as well.. But most importantly, if you really believe in fantasies like "basic income" and that "the existence of poor and rich people is not necessary" then you clearly have no clue of how economy works or why these pieces of paper which we call "money" have enough fake value to be traded with things of real value like products and services..

@VaasMontenegro12 No i'd kill myself because I cannot stand how they live their lives there A.K.A their culture... Capitalism is a worldwide thing, in order for people in a country to live good lives some other people in other countries will have to live like slaves.. You cannot escape from the FACT that debt=money.. Can you make all the citizens in your country wealthy while turning Africa and Asia in slavefests? Sure, do it.. If you can that is.. After all, this is the essence of capitalism, one has to step on the corpses of others if they want something better for their lives.. Enjoy it to the fullest and have fun! ;)
