  1. Very interesting. I can't remember if you have covered the Joan Eleanor (J-E) radio system. It was used by the OSS in WW2 so that spies on the ground could conmmunicate with reconnaissance aircraft. It was 260MHz (VHF) and AM and made by RCA. A very clever design.
