You’re thinking of something else for France. Hunger of French peasants led to the Flour War, which then had nobles take the weakened situation to French Revolution. The Revolution failed in the end. Arab Spring was a bunch of factors, but hunger was on the bottom of the list. Li Zicheng’s uprising is a good example of hunger starting a rebellion/revolution

There are two sides I keep hearing. One is there is enough food in North Korea. Another side, North Korea is lacking in food. I’m guessing, the urban centers have plenty of food, it’s just the rural places are agriculturally inadequate
