  10. well, the thing is. ming dynasty employed a bunch of gunmen, but qing somehow smashed the ming. qing was formed by nomads in manchuria. they didn't employ that many gunmen, they sticked to swords and arrows. chinese in many cases refers to people born or living in china proper, for the most part. when you refer yuan and qing as chinese, things tend to be murky. you got stormfront saying china fell behind due to impudence, as they can't tell the difference between the peoples. (ik, it's the they all look the same joke)
