  11. the USA has been an empire for 75-125 years. even for the longest empire government, they avoided decline for 230 years. typically, empires decline after 100-200 years. for Great Britain, they declined after 140-250 years of being an empire. so, for the USA, less than 200 years but generally 100 years until decline
