the qing, led by manchus, was very isolationist. the ming, led by han people, was somewhat isolationist but not really since many ports were still open- contact with the portuguese were frequent. people over-exaggerate when saying ming was completely isolationist. qing just look ming's policy to the extreme. the conquest of ming was a mistake

we have pointed out these errors many times in many videos yet whatifalthist is still regurgitating the same incorrect information. he is adamant in what he thinks, very stubborn. expect more of his bad explanations like from this video

europe was pretty much united under the romans, then broke apart and didn't really unite again. or, not united for long
52
the west supported qing because they rather have a weak state (qing dynasty) than a potentially strong state (heavenly dynasty). not entirely incorrect to call taiping a "christian rebellion"

we can confirm that whatifalthist does not read the comment section

they weren't nomadic, yes. but, they weren't entirely civilized either since they were at least somewhat nomadic in practice based on their horde system. they had very similar traditions to the mongols, such as focus on cavalry, hunting as a military practice, importing slaves after war, and having a khan (until they "switched"). the manchu soldiers didn't really have much a place to be other than living next to military posts. i doubt manchuria was urban back then

does he Really know tho?

it is cool but the details he lay out are not good
9
he is very stubborn

jurchens and mongols disrupted the progress. do you think the UK would have had the industrial revolution if a large group of people raided the entire island of britain? perhaps another country would have started it later

@Zeerich-yx9po mongols had a hierarchy system. mongols on top, arabs+persians second, jurchens+northern chinese under, then southern chinese very bottom. but, anyone can hold slaves. mongols moved all skilled people to their capital, yet not much innovation nor invention made during mongol period. mongols taxed the conquered very heavily, many were poor under their rule. goryeo korea was so heavily taxed, many people had to eat bark to survive. silk road was peaceful because the mongols owned majority of the silk road, but the road became dangerous when they splintered off into different khanates. mongols razed asia and boosted europe, how delightful

yet again, so many incorrect details (not everything is wrong but still, not good)
2
correct, the manchu people were very tribal
1
Source said Mongols had 60% light cavalry and 40% heavy cavalry. Different sources indicate that Manchu focused a lot on cavalry, so it was similar to Mongols
1
the han tributary system wasn't that bad. it differed a bit from the mongol and manchu systems
