  1. many propaganda outlets say it's debt trap but they never counter the near zero interest fact. the loan those countries take have little to no interest. of course there are political favors attached, but outside of politics, this is a great economic opportunity to take. good

  2. from recent history, if you don't grow fast enough, invaders will burn your cultural sites anyways. so, fast-growing countries tend to value growth over anything else. growth is too high, so everything is at stake.

  3.  @AbeYousef  not every country follows that Anglo policy. the US financed Western Europe and Japan after ww2, but they are not colonies nor vassals. although, i do think they qualify as client states. it doesn't make political sense for China to follow that route
