  4.  @bobnelson9108  only businesses and shoppers are affected by the tariffs. america did put tariffs on china, but china is telling the merchants that they will have to pay the tariffs to continue business in china; the trade in china is lucrative, so paying the tariffs isn't an issue as long as consumers pay back the cost.
