  6. joining NATO, countries give USA land, monetary, and human capital as concessions. those countries do like to live comfortably in a security bubble

  7. Land because US builds bases or operate facilities in NATO countries. Monetary because NATO members pay a percentage of GDP to NATO (basically USA); NATO countries do buy solely American weaponry. Human because when NATO is called in by the USA, NATO countries will send their soldiers to help. There’s also political influence as well
