  1. South Korea is a true US client state. ROC is arguably an official US client state. after ww2, the US wasn't preoccupied, they were ready for the next wars. i think the US is ready for any war right now. China should hold off for a few decades

ROC has been recognized on the island from 1950 to 1971. the UN seat was handed to PRC in 1971, thus ROC is no longer recognized and doesn't technically exist 3. ROC, even if arguably "independent", is occupying disputed land. territory needs to be reclaimed by PRC
