@jennifertalley49 There has only been one fatality from a cottonmouth snake bite since 1971.⚕️

@Jennifer Talley They are defensive in their behavior. They will open their mouth and display the white interior vibrate their tails and emit a foul smelly musk. Crofab antivenin is the only treatment for pitvipers bite in the United States 🇺🇸.

I saw a Black Rat snake in the chicken coop eating eggs. But have never seen the Akistrodon pisivorous the hook tooth fish eater attacking cows, horses,Pigs 😂. They eat fish and frogs even each other 😮 cannibalism and scavengers eating dead animals 😮.

Orry Martin on YouTube Chased by a Nest of Cottonmouths. The Texas Snake Hunter! Cottonmouths in Texas behavior is the same as everywhere else.

Copperheads rely on their camouflage and remain still they only bite people who either step on or touch them. If you try to capture or kill them they will defend themselves.

Only 2 people have died from a Cottonmouth bite since 1970. A man who was wading in a river in Missouri was bitten and died after he refused to get medical attention telling his girlfriend he couldn't afford it. He passed away RIP in his sleep after his autopsy revealed that he had a high level of pain medication in his system that contributed to his passing in 2015. Another man who was carrying a sack with Cottonmouths in it was bitten through the sack and died from the bites in Louisiana back in 1971 . What state was your friend from that you claimed that died from a Cottonmouth bite ? He's not listed on the North American snake death bite registy that keeps records of all venomous snake bites deaths in the US.

Akistrodon piscivorus is the hook toothed fish eater Aka cottonmouth watermoccasin which chase after fish 🐟 sometimes when people are fishing 🐟 🎣 they claim to be chased by a cottonmouth. Cottonmouths don't always mate once a year and they can mate anytime usually between April and October depending on the region that they live in. Only one person has died from a cottonmouth bite since 1971. Cottonmouth bites are treated with CRO FAB antivenin that is used for all species of North American pit vipers Copperheads ,Cottonmouths and Rattlesnakes.

You see that all your comments are repeating the same thing that are filled with fear and misunderstanding of one particular species of venomous snake. When are going to provide evidence of a cottonmouth behavior being aggressive not defensive its the same in every state they will open their mouth wide open exposing the white interior, vibrate their tails and emit a foul smelly musk when trying to escape from being captured or killed by any predators or persons. The young biologist in this video is from NC perhaps he found a docile Cottonmouth like that other biologist found in South Florida.

Akistrodon piscivorus or cottonmouth are not found near Carowinds. There is no record of a child being bitten at the park or in the North American snake bite registry .
1
Akistrodon piscivorus or the cottonmouth has only caused one fatal bite since 1971. Only the shy coral snake has caused one fatality since the late nineteen sixtys. There is no scientific evidence of the cottonmouth showing aggressive behavior only defensive behaviors against humans. They don't waste their venom on something they can't eat.🐟🐍
1
Agkistrodon picivorous aka Cottonmouths and Watermoccasins are the hooked tooth fish eater which chase after fish not humans unless they look and smell like a fish ! Most likely that they were attracted by the smell of fish or thought your boat was a floating log for a place to rest on. No snake chases humans unless you consider a 20+ foot Reticulated python ambushed a human and ate them. 😮
1
Akistrodon pisivorous AKA Cottonmouths and Watermoccasins is the hook tooth fish eater which eat fish. 100% of the people making comments about being chased by a Cottonmouth were fishing. It's after fish not humans.
1
Yes they eat fish not humans 😂
1
A cotton mouth has 3 different defensive behaviors they will open their mouth wide open and show the white interior vibrate their tails and they Release a foul smelling musk⚕️ They can be found from Southeastern Virginia all the way into Texas and as far North as Illinois ! They prefer swamp lands and rivers but can be found in sand hills and Long leaf pine forest also! Long leaf pines are built to weather storms with deep roots and are all along the Southern coastline!

Only one person has died from a Cottonmouth bite since 1971 and that person didn't seek medical attention. Pitvipers bite are easily treated with Crofab antivenom in the United States.

1
@richscott2952 Southeastern Virginia into Central Virginia James River and Appomatax tributaries is the end of the Cottonmouths range on the east coast.
1
@natea4828 If you're fishing Cottonmouths are attracted to the smell of fish they are curious snakes and do appreciate handouts. No snakes chase humans it's a misunderstanding of their behavior they are trying to get away and you're in-between its hiding place.

Akistrodon piscivorus is the hook toothed fish eater it was after your fish not you.🐟🐍

@Lynn Snakes are generally venomous not poisonous. The only snake that has both venom and poison is the Asian tiger keelback snake it gets poison from eating salamanders and toads that are poisonous ! Venom is injected into the bloodstream from fangs Poison has to come into contact with skin to have a deadly effect. Or it has to be ingested to have a deadly effect !⚕️ The coral snake has the most toxic venom of any snake in North America pure neurotoxic venom. It is North America's only elapid species🐍the inland taipan has the most toxic venom on Earth ld50 0. 025mgkg sc⚕️

Snakes are defensive not aggressive they are territorial meaning that they live in a certain territory usually not more than three miles away from where they were born. Akistrodon piscivorus or cottonmouth watermoccasin behaviors are the same everywhere in the United States. They will open their mouth wide open exposing the white interior known as gaping vibrate their tails and emit a foul smelly musk when trying to escape from being captured or killed by any predators or persons. Those are warnings to leave them alone .
1
@terrisomers7843 If you're chased by a cottonmouth or any other type of wildlife means that you either ran or walked away from it and it pursued you which cottonmouths don't do. If a snake drops off a tree branch means that it's more than likely scared of being captured or killed by any predators or persons who are going to eat them. Cottonmouths are beneficial to the ecological systems throughout the Southeastern quarter of the United States where they are scavengers and eat dead animals with harmful bacteria in the swamps, rivers and drainage systems. They also provide valuable venom for the production of antivenin and medical treatment medications for Thrombosis,Arthritis,Cancer research and other health problems that causes human health problems. You may even be using medicine made from snake venom. Remember that the world is a bigger place than one person's fear of snakes.
1
You probably got bit by harmless water snake lol🤣 CRO FAB antivenìn is the only thing that will help⚕️
1
@Wayne Sligar Putting tobacco on a snake bite does nothing to stop the spreading in the bloodstream Cotton mouth venom is Hemo toxic how many vials of çrofab antivenin were you given to treat the bite ?
1
