Due to disease and bacteria they are not edible. They are captured and euthanized the eggs inside the females are then destroyed. Wildlife biologist have declared them unsafe to be eaten due to the water and prey they live in and consume which gives the snakes deadly bacteria. If you are eating Pythons in a Eastern state they were purchased from a store ,snake breeders or it was someone's escaped pet not a wild snake 😜 .
