Pythons are hunted legally all year round in Florida by Wildlife agents Python bounty hunters and citizens are allowed to kill pythons on private land as long as its done in a humane way. Due to disease and bacteria they are not edible. They are captured and euthanized the eggs inside the females are then destroyed. They have been in South Florida since the late seventies where the temperature is on average 72d year round. They can't live where freezing temperatures are.

@Kalista Sanders Maybe you should volunteer to taste the pythonidae family of snakes that live in Florida so the people who want to live would know which ones are safe to eat 😉.

@Kalista Sanders Pythons only have established populations in South Florida where the temperature is on average 72 degrees year round. Wildlife biologist have declared them unsafe to be eaten due to the water and prey they live in and consume which gives the snakes deadly bacteria. If you are eating Pythons in a Eastern state they were purchased from a store ,snake breeders or it was someone's escaped pet not a wild snake 😜 .
