  6. The Deepseek event also has consequence for Tesla whose AI is also behind on the Chinese open source model. Wayve actually uses a similar self-reinforcement method and may thus turn superior to Tesla's AI used for FSD. This means Tesla will either push an inferior product or sell off the business and go Chinese. In any case they lost the market to license this to other car companies, with huge implications on earnings.

  10. @ oh please, are you that lazy you couldn’t look for crash stats before posting here. Tesla leads the crash stats. Most unsafe vehicles are model S and Y. About build quality, a very documented issue is the wide space between panels. On the left side if the var it is a quarter of an inch, on the right side a whopping half inch. A detailer on youtube also showed for some teslas how poor the paint job can be. It is irregular though. It just shows that quality assessment is extremely poor. Always go check your tesla before buying and make sure they send the car you vetted.

  21. @ thanks, on 2) that merely shows that waymo’s AI is inferior. Imagine a tesla’AI would benefit from lidar data in addition to cameras. Then it would be more safe because it does not only rely on pre-existing conditions it was trained on. It would not hit the elephant on the highway, while current FSD would. FSD already killed two drivers. Tesla leads the crash fatality stats with 647 deaths, with 52 from autopilot. It is supposed to be used in a supervised manner, but when you allow the cat to be with the milk….Of course Musk convinced trump to cancel mandatory reporting of crash data.
