Why do you have to over simply things into dichotomy, good and bad, black and white, pro or anti? No one is 100% Pro or Anti lockdown. Are you capable of looking at things with more complexity of contexts and nuance?

Chinese local governments are not doing good job at coordinating and synchronizing with Beijing central government’s newly released Covid policy which would lift some restrictions. Most of poorly executed Covid restriction are coming from Chinese local governments, not Beijing. Also please do keep in mind China is still a developing country with high population and big territory. China doesn’t have the luxury of medical system which is capable of sustaining the Covid cases if without more strict measures or lockdown. The reason Chinese local governments tend to impose more restriction because they are afraid of risking their own job if the local Covid cases rises or become out of control. What Beijing needs to do is to create more connection and trust between central government and provincial, county and city local governments, so the local government Covid policy can synchronize with Beijing’s new adjustments. Majority of Chinese support the the general Covid policy in China though it needs to adjust, improve and lift some of redundant and harsh restriction with gradual phases. I don’t believe for a second that no foreign instigation involvement in these protests, the CIA and Anti China groups are hungry vultures. It’s been proven that some of the protesters are not from mainland, they are from these anti China groups from Taiwan, HK and other overseas anti China groups like Falung Gong and Apache Times who have ties with CIA, some are paid actors. You know there is foreign influence involved when these protestors start chanting and demanding Xi to step down, this is same recipe of regime change ‘color revolution’ is in the making, like in 2019 HK treasonous riot.

@tynao2029 I think you are mistaken Communism with US imperial hegemony, US is the one goes around the world using wars and violent coups and brutal sanctions to impose its ideologies of freeDUMB and demoCRAZY. US is the one goes around the world minding everyone else’s business. Communist China and other communist only mind their own business. China doesn’t force any country to do anything, if any, it’s all based on mutual consent and respect. How about learning some wisdom and humility, the west is mostly lacking these virtues.

I think it’s common ignorant and arrogant mistake by the west to compare and judge China through their own lens, through their own political correctness, through their own ideologies, rush to judge and criticize China by the often distorted disinformation that lack well reasoned context they receive from their propaganda corporate news outlets, who have long ago become the stenographer of US state department. How about people take care of their own domestic issues and stop criticizing other countries of their own Covid policies. I’ve never seen Chinese state media act like western media constantly sensationally loud mouth and bad mouth other countries, especially the countries western governments deem enemy and rivals, in this case, of course it’s CHINA! It disgusted me whenever I read online comments flooded with crocodile tears as if they really care about Chinese people by saying “good for the Chinese people go on street protest against the CCP, we support you”, this is as condescending and as fake as it can get.
