It’s not difficult at all to view Taiwan ROC is a break away province, yes, it’s local provincial government is ROC, just like in US, each state has certain autonomy with its own laws, so is Taiwan province. That’s what One Country Two system means. It’s most likely when Mainland and Taiwan reunite, everything in Taiwan would remain the same, regular people would not feel any difference in their daily life. I have strong confidence in Beijing who will respect Taiwan’s provincial governing right. Same thing like HK, Beijing didnt intervene HK and granted HK 20 some years to implement HK national security law, but HK never passed any legislation due to US CIA/NED backed opposition party Pan Democratic Party, they tried to obstruct the law to be passed, so they can plan color revolution in HK in 2019. Beijing had to step in to stop the madness and chaos. Whatever Beijing did is legitimately acceptable in every country in the world, US would have handled it much worse with US police brutality, but for some reason, Beijing always gets all the bashing and demonizing from US led media. Because US hates strong leaders of other nations, who won’t subordinate to US imperial bully, China, Russia, Venezuela, Iran, Libya, Syria… any country dares to stand up to US bully, US dictator makes sure they pay for not submitting to US imperial interest.

US first needs to lift the sanction from the Chinese Defense minister, then it’s possible to have a meaningful meeting with Lloyd Austin, otherwise is looks to me US is playing pure political theater by outcry if whining about China is unwilling to meet, so US can paint China is being ‘difficult’.   10. Right, in this case the ‘hostile act occur’ is initiated by Pelosi, so China PLA is practicing live drill preparing for real ‘war game’ if necessary. China would try everything to avoid reunification by force, but if China’s redline is violated by either DPP the separatist party or the US, if China exhausts diplomatic efforts, the last resort is force. The Chinese are not like us, they consider force as the LAST resort, but once they decide to use force, they will go all the way everything they can.

It makes ZERO sense to recognize ROC is the official government of China. I’m not a fan of Kissinger and Nixon, but recognizing PRC is the best and smartest thing to do for US and the world. If this is a conventionally defined war, Russia would probably have taken out CORRUPT ROTTEN Kiev regime, but Russia did not.
